I've been living in Queensland, Australia since 1993 after returning to Australia from a thirty year hiatus in various countries.
Since 1960, however, and in no particular order, I was a patrol officer in New Guinea for five years; I worked as an IT professional for twenty-five years, in systems, programming and operations; did computer sales for three years; am still a self-defence and karate instructor, and have been one for nearly thirty years; have been involved with website development/Internet marketing for ten years; and I am a family man with seven kids (two marriages), over the last forty-three years.
Since deciding, at sixty, that I wanted to develop my writing, I went back to university - that I'd abandoned in 1989 - to complete a BA (Literature and Composition) from Griffith University, Brisbane, and I'm now working on an MA (Creative Writing) with Swinburne University in Melbourne.
I've written a number of short stories and a novel, but nothing published traditionally, as yet. You might find a few articles of mine, on various topics, on the web at different article and ezine websites. And, I enjoy writing film reviews and have been doing it for a couple of years only. So, I was delighted to discover epinions.com where I can learn and share more.
With my partner, Sherry, we developed a number of websites over the years but we're now concentrating on our main site, Roger's Reference, while we also develop an eBay store (now in process and mainly devoted to aircraft photos of the 20th century).
Roger's Reference, by the way, is a website all about homonyms and homophones - words that sound the same - where I provide specialized dictionaries about them...and a few other items.
