motorcop28's Full Review: Bianchi 4750 Ranger Triad Ankle Holster Right Hand...
In my profession, I come across "less than savory" people on a daily basis. Therefore, whether on duty or not, I choose to carry a weapon 24/7. I kicked around the idea of ankle carry for years, trying several cheap holsters and disliking it each time. That was until I tried the Bianchi Triad for my Taurus Ultralite titanium model 85.
Previous holsters had no ankle support and would flop around, leaving me uncomfortable and feeling as if my weapon was about to skate across the pavement. The Bianchi had a pad that is attached by velcro and can be adjusted up or down for comfort and concealability. The pad has a small indention that fits nugly over that useless little ball on your ankle. Well, now that bone serves a purpose and helps keep the holster in place.
This holster has stayed in place during foot pursuits and multiple ground fights. It now sees the underside of my desk versus the everyday action...detective work is a little slower paced!
I have worn this holster combination for almost 6 years, on duty and off. It has lasted this long and prvoded the ultimate in comfort. Now keep in mind, I am not advocating ankle carry (that's a whole article in itself). I use this as a backup carry method to my primary weapon and in those few instances where I cannot carry a primary I rely on this method alone. It does take practice to draw, but so does hip carry and all other CCW techniques. However, if you are looking at cheap holsters and the high end Galco holsters...this one will do the job and still leave a few bucks in your pocket to spare!
