Poor choice
by bsalagaj ,Apr 13 '06
Pros: None Cons: No cutouts for hotsync or even to take out the pen
Unfortunately I couldn't actually take a close look at this product in the store because I wouldn't have purchase it. First and foremost I am using this for my Palm TX and when I put the unit in the case I noticed it rattled around. That doesn't seem safe to me since the idea is to protect the unit.
When the case is open it feels very flimsy and like it could break very easily. Plus when it is closed the latch is very difficult to secure.
Overall the case is cheaply made and I do not recommend anyone to buy this. I paid $24.99 for this, I'm just writing it off as a lose since I would have to pay a restocking fee to return it.

A Big Disappointment
by wezieworl ,Feb 28 '08
Pros: It is a hard case with 2 slots for expansion cards. Cons: No openings to access ports; Hard to open and close; Seems a bit flimsy
I just got my new pda, Palm TX, today. It came with this hard case which is very hard, inside and out.
I spent a few minutes trying to open it. And once it was open I spend a few minutes trying to close it. This not good.
There are 2 slot inside for expansion cards. I like that. However, there are no openings in the case for accessing the expansion slots, headphone jack, sync and charger ports.
In the spine of the case is a rib for sliding the TX into so that it can be securely held. In the case, my TX moves like a page in a book. Also the spine of the case is hinged so that it can folded back like you might do a magazine. This makes it seem a bit flimsy and cheaply made.
Overall, I think it will protect my pda from the elements. However, I am not sure the manufacturer thought about it being user friendly.

Useless
by palmlubber ,Sep 16 '05
Pros: none Cons: Snap breaks easily, SD slot can't hold wireless SDcard & to difficult for memory card.
My Palmone Aluminum Case for the Tungsten T5 broke on the first drop. The little plastic mechanism that makes the cover snap together broke clean off. The drop wasn't a hard drop (onto office carpet), nor was it from a very high distance.
Also, I didn't like the way the SD slots were so close against the side wall. I'm going to get a rhinoskin which has the SD slots oriented from top to bottom (rather than palmOne's left to right orientation).
