Pros: Value / Picture Quality Cons: None that I noted.
For years I had the Optoma H30 projector, and I was nothing but pleased with it. There is nothing like watching movies on a 105" screen in your living room. The only downside to owning a projector is that the bulb is only good for 2000-3000 hours ...
INTRO Purchasing a device to watch movies and television is no easy thing these days. Plasma, LCD, Rear-Projection, CRT, or HD-Ready are only a few words to be confronted with. And when thinking about getting a big-screen, it does not make the ...
Pros: Superb, almost 3D picture, contrast, and eye-popping color. Cons: Awkward offset angle for ceiling mount; lousy lens cap.
I have owned an Optoma EP 719 XGA projector for about a year and find it an impressive unit for the price. However, when Optoma released the HD 70, a full 720p projector, for under $1000, I had to buy it. The projector is light, but ...
Pros: Wow...awsome picture that is very punchy, smooth, colourful, great contrast, and super bright. Cons: TrueVivid feature is a very questionable feature that could cause others to give negative reviews.
Optoma HD70 Impressions Okay, so I broke down and picked up an Optoma HD70 yesterday after a month or so of agonizing over it. I’d like to share my thoughts with the community so far. A bit about my setup. I have a dedicated home theatre room (10’ ...
Pros: Amazing for price Cons: Might have limitations for experience Home Theater fanatics

Pros: Awesome images, super quiet fan, very easy set-up. Cons: Standard TV/Cable in lower res. really begin to look awful.
Just replaced my DOA Toshiba TDP-T90 (their customer service is horrid)with the HD70. Was originally worried about the lower lumens (1000 vs 2000 with the toshiba). Can't say I can even tell in most lighting conditions. Have this in fairly large room ...

I was deciding whether to purchase a projector or bigscreen of some sort (LCD/Plasma/Projection) and decided to do the projector route. Thus far I am extremely happy with my purchase, given this is my first projector. I have the image at 4' x 7' ...
Pros: price, picture, fairly quiet, what else is there? Cons: Manual focus instead of electronic I suppose, but I'm getting picky
I am a first time projector owner and I have owned the Optoma HD70 for a year. I read and read and read on all kinds of different projectors and I wasn't interested spending a bunch of money either. I read a few reviews and was impressed with the black ...

Great value, wonderful product by blickfold2004 ,Feb 20 '07
Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing
We purchased this projector about three months ago and we absolutely love it. We have it in our basement, but it is a very well-lit room. We are able to watch this with windows open and lights on, picture is great!
We haven't had any problems with this projector yet, but we absolutely love it and highly recommend it! Granted we are novice users, but I did my research and thoroughly believe this is one of the better projectors out there, certainly the best for the money!
Nice projector when it works! by cweedgate ,Nov 19 '07
Pros: The picture from this unit is nice while it works Cons: Optoma's customer service
I have had my HD70 for 8 months in a fixed installation home theater. The bulb went out after 356 hrs of use. The down side is the bulb only has a 90 day warranty. Optoma didn't feel that this was unacceptable and charged me for a new bulb. I won't purchase another Optoma product.
