Pros: Well built, first class manufacturer, comfort plus.
Cons: Gas mileage, second and third row seats for kids only, complex operating controls.
The Bottom Line: Not for every driver. Like any 4wd, it should be approached as a truck and driven like one. Always remember to turn your brain on before the vehicles engine.

My wife and I purchased a Pathfinder LE in the US after the recent surge by the Canadian dollar. We decided on the Nissan for a number of reasons; we already own a 1995 Pathy, Nissan's cross border approach to warranty, and more HP with the V8 for ...

Pros:

The feature's, the comfort, it almost drives itself. The pathfinder is a great buy.

Cons:

The biggest con about the Pathfinder is the amount of gasoline it takes.

I originally bought this vehicle to accommodate all the grand-children we have, but found out it really is a great vehicle for the money.
The Nissan Pathfinder is an excellent vehicle. The Pathfinder is versatile; it can take my family safely to outings or events in comfort. It has every needed convenience me and my family could need. The Pathfinder is also a great workhorse so to speak and has pulled a camper and hauled firewood for camping. We have also pulled my step-daughters car home on a dolly when it broke down several hundred miles from home and brought back a family of five in addition to me and my husband. I love how you lower the hatch down and it closes itself. I love the back-up camera it has kept me from backing into things. It handles like a truck, but rides like a car. Every electrical and mechanical part on the pathfinder works like a dream. This pathfinder even tells me when my tires are low. It handles very well in the snow, mud, and on wet roads. The Pathfinder has lots of storage space. My nephew used it to take to the beach and loved it.

Regret My Decision To Buy A Pathfinder

Pros: NONE FOUND
Cons: Safety issues not repaired in months
Purchased Pathfinder NEW in August of 2007 in Greensboro, NC. A/C Began leaking into SUV first week I purchased it. Service Department damaged dash, trim, and speakers taking the dash out for a/c repairs. I have spent 10 months trying to get them to repair the damage they caused. Back seat still does not latch, there has been Many Attempts to correct this problem and it is still unrepaired. I have children and find this a SERIOUS safety concern that should have been corrected months ago. General manager of the dealership informed me I should hire a lawyer. This is a real shame that a person can spend over $30,000.00 on a NEW car and can't even get it repaired. Nissan should stand behind their product and train service department better.
I have purchased a lot of new cars over the years and NEVER had problems like this, never! Although not my first Nissan but I promise it will be the LAST one I buy!

Many Regrets,
Greensboro, NC
